ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Heidi Schmitz, an experienced and passionate Instructional Designer dedicated to creating engaging and effective learning experiences. With a strong background in education and technology, I specialize in transforming complex information into accessible and compelling content that enhances learner engagement and retention.
My journey into instructional design began with a deep love for education and a keen interest in how people learn. I believe that effective education is a cornerstone of personal and professional growth. This belief drives my commitment to designing instructional materials that are not only informative but also inspire and motivate learners. Seeing the positive impact of my work on learners' growth and development fuels my passion for this field.
As an instructional designer, my goal is to create meaningful and transformative learning experiences. Whether you are looking to develop a new training program, enhance an existing course, or simply explore innovative ways to engage your learners, I am here to help you achieve your business objectives.
Outside of instructional design, I love spending time with my husband, daughter, and stepchildren. I also enjoy working out, traveling, and cheering on my daughter and stepdaughter at their various sporting events.
Feel free to reach out to discuss how I can support your instructional design needs!

The Applied Instructional Design Certification marks the completion of a comprehensive 9-month program known as the Applied Instructional Design Academy. During this time, I completed over 400 lessons, received extensive coaching, and engaged in a rigorous set of learning activities. These included practice sessions, feedback, multiple revisions, and the completion of simulated client projects.
